Notes - This Littau family went to Canada along with Louisa's brother Ludwig Jr.Wonenberg and two sisters Dorothea (John Quast) and Justina Koenig andtheir families as well as her mother Wilhelmina Bauch Wonnenberg. Theywent to Hanna, Alberta to homestead except Justina stayed in Calgary andGrandma Wonnenberg stayed with Justina's family.

- made application for land title for the homestead. The applicationindicated that he had cultivated 28, 12, 60 acres and cropped 0, 40 and55 acres in the years 1909, 10 and 11. It also indicated that they had 5horses and 3 cattle by 1912. At the application date the family had a 12X 14 sod house; a 16 X 33 sod barn; a chicken house; a stable; a waterwell; 320 rods of fencing. It also indicates that Sam had become aBritish subject by naturalization. Anton Dofer was the sponsor of thisapplication.

Charels said that it was too dry to farm and his Dad wanted to be a grainfarmer.
