    John traded the 7 lots in Filer for 40 acres of land south of Buhl, IDwhich they farmed for only 2 years before John had a heart attack. Mostof this land was still in the family and as of Oct 2005, 7 grandchildrenlived on this 40 acres.

    Ludwig took out a homestead at NE27-26n-15w, which is immediately westand adjacent to the town of Avard, northern Oklahoma. After his death inOct 1904, Wilhelmina made final application and received ownership ofthis quarter section of land as shown on the Patent Record dated 25 Aug1905. In 1908, Wilhelmina sold one acre to the local school district#140 and the remainder of the quarter section to Fred Link. Wilhelmina'sgrave stone reads "Wilhelmina Wonenberg Link" therefore we assume thatshe married this Fred Link as some point.
